Club Mission

We play for the fun of it!!

Everyone plays. To play is to win. Our league was founded on strong ideals and principles - these principles are an important and crucial aspect of our philosophy. In our U4 through U12 "recreational program," teams are formed by neighborhoods, not by politics or insider knowledge. Playing other NYSL teams, the emphasis is on developing skills and having fun. Scores, win/loss records, and league standings are deliberately excluded. The league was formed to allow these children to have fun while developing soccer skills.

The Neighborhood Youth Soccer League (NYSL) has been in existence for more than ten years. Based in Virginia Beach, Virginia, we offer children and young adults the opportunity to participate in soccer and experience team play on the recreational and advanced level.

NYSL has grown to more than 2500 registered players per season, and to keep our registration fees as low as possible, the league is almost exclusively run by volunteers.
